An Extremal Property of Turán Graphs
Let Fn,tr(n) denote the family of all graphs on n vertices and tr(n) edges, where tr(n) is the number of edges in the Turán’s graph Tr(n) – the complete r-partite graph on n vertices with partition sizes as equal as possible. For a graph G and a positive integer λ, let PG(λ) denote the number of proper vertex colorings of G with at most λ colors, and let f(n, tr(n), λ) = max{PG(λ) : G ∈ Fn,tr(n...
متن کاملAn extremal property of Bernstein operators
We establish a strong version of a known extremal property of Bernstein operators, as well as several characterizations of a related specific class of positive polynomial operators. © 2006 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved. MSC: 41A36; 26D15
متن کاملUniversal Approximator Property of the Space of Hyperbolic Tangent Functions
In this paper, first the space of hyperbolic tangent functions is introduced and then the universal approximator property of this space is proved. In fact, by using this space, any nonlinear continuous function can be uniformly approximated with any degree of accuracy. Also, as an application, this space of functions is utilized to design feedback control for a nonlinear dynamical system.
متن کاملWeak Banach-Saks property in the space of compact operators
For suitable Banach spaces $X$ and $Y$ with Schauder decompositions and a suitable closed subspace $mathcal{M}$ of some compact operator space from $X$ to $Y$, it is shown that the strong Banach-Saks-ness of all evaluation operators on ${mathcal M}$ is a sufficient condition for the weak Banach-Saks property of ${mathcal M}$, where for each $xin X$ and $y^*in Y^*$, the evaluation op...
